Manjari Sankurathri Memorial Foundation, US was established with a purpose to promote education, health care care for the downtrodden and to help the needy at times of natural calamities in India as well as in the United States of America.
Manjari Sankurathri Memorial Foundation, US (MSMF US) is a non profit, public charitable organization incorporated in New Jersey in 2013. Any contributions to this organization are tax exempt by IRS under section 501 (c) (3) of the Internal revenue code. The Foundation is also allowed to receive tax deductible bequests, devices, transfers, or gifts under section 2055, 2106 or 2522 of the code.
The organization works closely with Sankurathri Foundation in India. Sankurathri Foundation runs a charitable eye hospital – Sri Kiran Institute of Ophthalmology, a School -Sarada Vidyalayam and a disaster relief and assistance program – Spandana
Sri Kiran Institute of Ophthalmology provides quality eye care to the rural population around the town of Kakinada, East Godavari Dt, Andhra Pradesh, India. About 65% of the eye care provided at this Institute is charity based. This Institute also trains physicians to provide quality eye care. It also provides training in various para medical fields to those enrolled in its associated educational programs.
Sarada Vidyalayam provides subsidized education to the deserving children in the vicinity of Penumarthy village, just outside of Kakinada in East godavari District of Andhra Pradesh, from 1st grade to 10th grade. Vocational training is also provided at the school. In addition to the State approved curriculum, Sarada Vidyalayam offers many incentives and amenities for the overall development of the child.
